I have been on the Southern Maryland Boot Scooters dance team since 1998. I have enjoyed dancing at the various venues we have been to as well as the TV appearances that we have done. My wife Terry (who is a member) and I enjoy our time together and actually love performing. I have 5 children – 2 boys and 3 girls as well as 7 grandchildren and one on the way which we just found out is a girl. That will make 3 grandsons and 5 granddaughters. My daughter Bobbie Jo is also a member on the dance team. We get to spend good times with good friends that we have made with current and past team members. We love ya'll past and present !!!

I was invited to a line dance class in early 1994. I enjoyed it and have stayed with it. In April 1996 I was invited to join the Boot Scooters and have been with them ever since. I enjoy performing and have fun doing it!

I have been line dancing for about 8 years. I joined the Southern Maryland Boot Scooters about three years ago. I also belong to another dance team called the Syncopated Rhythm. I guess you can tell that I like to dance. Line dancing is a great form of exercise and I have met many really great people! Come and join us!

I've been line dancing since 1996 and since then I have learned to do specialty dancing and the two-step with my husband. I have been with the Boot Scooters dance team for about 3 years and also another dance team called the Cruizers for about the same amount of time. I enjoy dancing so much that I normally practice about 3 times a week and go out dancing with my hubby on the weekend as much as possible.

Hi there. I have been enjoying dancing with the Boot Scooters for the past two years and I also dance with 2 other dance teams. I have been married for 34 years and have 3 children and 4 grand children and another on the way. Line dancing has given me the opportunity to do some entertaining and to meet some wonderful people. I've been dancing for 15 years. Two of them has been with the Boot Scooters. I enjoy dancing a lot especially the harder dances. I owe it all to my good friend (Robert “Bob” Phipps). Without him teaching me and getting on my nerves at times, I wouldn't be where I am today. P.S. I'll always try to do it the white way :)

I have been with the Southern Maryland Boot Scooters now for 3 years. I think this is the best way to have fun and exercise at the same time. I started dancing when I moved in with my dad (Kenny) and my mom (Terry). I had always visited on weekend when they danced which made me want to try it. The best part of all was seeing that peppy old man who wouldn't stop for anything. His name was Bobby Phipps and he was what inspired me to start dancing. One of my favorite memories of him was Wednesday night practice when he would always pick on me. We will all miss him. R.I.P. Bob Phipps, we love you!

I am the youngest member of the dance team. I have been on the dance team since January, 2006. When I joined the team my life became so much better. When our dance team leader, Bob Phipps, past away, I thought I'd never dance again. But something happened ... I decided that Bob would always be with me and help me when I performed. Every day since that day I've gotten better at dancing because I know he is with me. This dance team is the best! I have made so many new friends . Dancing has made my life so much better now that I'm here and with the people I love and care about so much!

I am the mother of 4. I joined the Boot Scooters in September, 2006 after my father-in-law was killed. He was the person that started the dance team. I felt like I should carry it on in the family.

I joined the Boot Scooters in 2006. This is one of the enjoyable activities outside of school. This activity is fun, exciting and enjoyable. I was 15 when I joined. I have never danced like this before and I love it.
